But if the servant declares, ‘I love my master and my wife and children and do not want to go free,’ then his master must take him before the judges. He shall take him to the door or the doorpost and pierce his ear with an awl. Then he will be his servant for life.
Exodus 21:5-6
I love my wife
Sylviane is a creator of koinonia – fellowship. Her servant heart, smile and anointed skills facilitate the building of church life. Her unstinting service over these last forty years of ministry together has woven so many strong, intergenerational relational links together and facilitated our Vision 50 of building ‘Contact Groups’ in our region. She is presently organising two nativity events for Christmas celebrations in our town of Thumeries.
I love my children
We are so encouraged by the ministry and character of our four children and more than blessed by the arrival of four grandchildren. We want to make time in our future space to serve this generation, helping them to develop faith and talents that will equip them to make a positive, Kingdom impact on the world.

I love my master
We still long to serve Jesus. As the years fly by we do not want to be tyrannised by time, but rather ‘redeem the time’ as the Bible suggests. We feel like old sticks, but Aaron’s old stick miraculously blossomed and bore mature fruit in the space of a mere 24 hours – a ‘unique day’ of blessing. Numbers 17:23
We continue to serve in the church of Wavrin, nurturing a new leadership team and also overseeing other churches who are in the CEPEE federation we belong to. We are still glad to be developing our missionary thrust through the mentoring of Korean teams who are working in North and West Africa. An unusual development for me has been the surprising growth of social media teaching and singing videos which touch the French speaking world via Tik Tok and You Tube.
May the Holy Spirit continue to lead us to that wooden cross of sacrifice, may our ears be opened anew to hear the song of heaven which encourages us to serve joyfully for the rest of our lives.
Support
We continue to serve France and the French speaking world on a voluntary basis. It is indeed, amazing grace, that has seen us so blessed by generosity over these last forty years of ministry. If you would like to share in this I’ve included a couple of links that can facilitate giving, or you can contact us directly for more information.
I love my parents. 🙂
